Marketing today is all about being a disruptor. Hell thats how Donald J Trump got elected! By thinking outside the box, by understating that using social media allows you to stand out from the crowd and get noticed. You need to decide if you approve or not, but your attention has been captured.

This brings me to my discussion about brands. They have done an amazing job on social media selling a lifestyle. Do you buy into what they are selling? … “if you own it, you will be it, and you will live it” . I say no! I say you are free to choose.

Why spend three to four times the price on the exact same thing?  I love the scene from the movie “The Ugly Truth” where Katherine Heigl tells the waiter that she wants tap water instead of bottled water saying “its the exact same thing”. If you love something and you can have it at a fair price, you choose. To overpay or not to overpay??? that is the question.
